Understanding the RXI Passive Protection Net
The RXI Passive Protection Net is a net formed by twisting several strands of steel wire into a circular shape and interlocking them with each other. This device is applicable to mountainous areas with buffer zones near building facilities. The RXI Passive Protection Net can prevent rockfalls, flying rocks, avalanches, and mudslides from entering the building facilities, thus avoiding the damage caused by disasters to the building facilities. Utilizing the RXI Passive Protection Net enhances safety and stability in critical environments.

Implementing the RXI Passive Protection Net is essential for ensuring the longevity and safety of structures in vulnerable locations. The net’s design allows for optimal energy absorption, making it a preferred choice among engineers.
The RXI Passive Protection Net not only protects buildings but also contributes to the overall safety of building facilities in hazardous areas.
Main construction requirements

- The RXI Passive Protective Net should be arranged along the contour lines, and it should be designed based on the principle of being able to intercept falling rocks to the greatest extent.
- When laying out the positions of the steel column bases, each base should be placed as close as possible on the same level line. The height difference between adjacent steel column bases should be controlled within 0.5 meters.
- The anchor bolt cement mortar (cement slurry) should be injected from the bottom of the hole with reverse pressure to ensure a dense and full injection.
- The foundation is constructed using the manual vertical slotting method. It is advisable to carry out the construction during the dry season and on sunny days.
- When installing the RXI Passive Protection Net, if the system’s length is relatively long, it is necessary to consider segmenting the support ropes. The length of each segment should not exceed 60 meters, and additional intermediate reinforcing ropes should be added to the steel columns at the segment junctions.
- The energy dissipation device should not be installed between the steel columns. The distance from the steel columns should be ensured so that the energy dissipation device can fully exert its effect.
- When the lowest point of the void between the low-lying areas is at a distance from the lower support rope, a flexible metal net or steel wire rope is used to fill the gap.
- Fix the small flexible metal net with steel wire to the large flexible metal net. Ensure that there are no less than 4 fixed points per square meter; the overlapping area at each connection point of the small flexible metal net should be no less than 5 cm.
